Contemporary

Contemporary dance styles focus on a dancer's relationship with the floor.  Dancers learn movement that involves contraction and the release of energy throughout the body. Students will learn to move in and out of the floor more efficiently, by controlling speed of movement, breathing, and the relationship between your center and your extremities. Advanced dancers also work on partnering and improvisation.
